My inspiration for the “Apple Tales” series originates in the rich symbolism of apples. Across cultures and languages, apples appear in myths, proverbs, and idioms — sometimes representing wisdom or love, other times – temptation or discord.
In each of my paintings, a main subject interacts with an apple, and some of the titles are well-known phrases featuring this iconic fruit.
In this painting, a young girl, lost in dreamy longing, holds an apple in her hand—forgotten, as her thoughts drift to a great love. Her distant gaze and serene expression reveal a heart wrapped in tender hopes and romantic reverie.
